Dr Rod Gillespie

Dr Rod Gillespie offers 35+ years of experience as a Dermatologist. He is one of the most experienced dermatologists in Australia and has considerable expertise in inflammatory skin disorders and skin cancer diagnosis and minor surgical procedures.

Rod undertook his medical education (MBBS) at Sydney University. He completed his undergraduate medical training at Royal North Shore Hospital and worked in General Practice in Sydney before commencing post-graduate training in Dermatology at Royal Newcastle Hospital.

Dr Gillespie is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists (FACD). He has worked as a dermatologist in Newcastle, NSW for 25+ years and more recently relocated permanently to Chatswood, where he has worked as a Dermatologist for the last 8+ years.

Dr Gillespie is a member of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, the American Academy of Dermatology and the Australian Medical Association (AMA). He is committed to continuing medical education through his attendance at local and overseas medical conferences and participation in regular clinical and scientific meetings to ensure he practices the latest evidence-based medicine.

Dr Gillespie is married with two children. Outside of medicine, his interests include music, literature, travel, film and rugby.
